Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, seeks a senior Electrical Engineer to lead research, develop innovative solutions, and mentor SEL engineers.

You will present papers, work across teams, protect IP, and travel as needed to support customers and projects. This role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and a commitment to SEL values.

Formación

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 1. Research, lead, and develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems within focus area *
• 2. Teach, develop, and mentor SEL engineers and support hiring the best employees.
• 3. Participate and present technical papers, reports, and application notes on innovative solutions or ideas at internal and industry meetings and conferences.
• 4. Protect SEL Intellectual Property by writing patent and copyright applications.
• 5. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• 6. Understand. Create. Simplify.
• 7. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering discipline.
• Recognized as a leader, advocate and expert within SEL in focus area* and industry practices.
• Excellent knowledge of products and applications in other focus area*.
• Demonstrable enthusiasm for developing and mentoring engineers.
• Excellent technical training, speaking, writing, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel per business need.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years of increasing experience within focus area*.
• Masters and/or PhD in Engineering discipline.
• Accomplished author and presenter of technical papers.
• Holder and major inventor of US patents related to SEL's mission.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
