Formación

• Licenciatura o equivalente en áreas relacionadas.
• 2+ años de experiencia en Compras, Contabilidad o Soluciones al Cliente (deseable distribución).
• Se requieren habilidades de comunicación profesional en inglés (oral y escrita).
• Conocimiento práctico de SAP y Microsoft Office.
• Fuertes habilidades analíticas y de organización.

Responsabilidades

• Revisar e interpretar comunicaciones de proveedores para identificar impacto en precios y comunicar cambios a ventas.
• Analizar facturas de proveedores, identificar discrepancias y proponer correcciones a compras y PM.
• Revisar datos de precios actuales para identificar mejoras y ahorros de costos.
• Identificar productos afectados por cambios de precio y actualizar el sistema.
• Implementar cambios de precios y comunicar impactos a ventas.
• Realizar auditorías periódicas de cuentas de clientes y proveedores para asegurar integridad de datos.

Price and Cost Operations Specialist:

The Price and Cost Operations Specialist is a vital role for Univar Solutions, supporting Product Management and Sales by managing accurate implementation of customer specific pricing records and supplier cost contracts. This position owns precise and timely customer specific pricing records through reviewing and compiling data, as well as executing market and value driven price changes. With regards to supplier cost contracts, this role owns the accuracy of cost contracts (vendor cost, vendor payment terms, incoterms, accessorial charges) within the system by analyzing supplier records, reviewing purchase order discrepancies, and collaborating with Product Managers. Both components of this position are instrumental to maximizing profitability of Univar Solutions through accurate customer invoicing and vendor payments.

The Price and Cost Operations Specialist must be able to use independent thinking, business acumen and technical knowledge to resolve sell price and cost contract issues through sell price analysis, purchase order discrepancy review, and cadenced audit processes that include supplier audits and sales history reviews. This individual must be able to apply technical and vendor knowledge to coordinate supplier announced increases and customer-specific value driven price changes and is responsible for ad hoc analysis to ensure financial benefits to the organization. This role supports net working capital goals by reviewing and resolving discrepancies between vendor invoices and Univar Solutions’ purchase orders and analyzing for trends to mitigate reoccurrence. The Price and Cost Operations Specialist is the liaison between Product Line Management, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Customer Service, and Univar Solutions system(s).

What You’ll Do:

• Review, analyze and interpret supplier communications to determine impact to Univar Solutions products and existing prices, and if changes need to be made and communicated to Sales team
• Analyze vendor invoices and identify any discrepancies; Investigate root cause and advise product management and purchasing on steps needed to correct
• Review current pricing data to identify potential improvements and cost-savings opportunities; Escalate opportunities to leadership to be reviewed with the business
• Identify impacted products for any price changes and update system accordingly
• Implement price changes into system as identified and approved, and communicate impact to sales team
• Perform regular reviews/audits on Customer and vendor accounts to ensure data integrity
• Performs other related duties as required or requested

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in Purchasing, Accounting or Customer Solutions (distribution environment desired)
• Candidates must possess strong professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in SAP preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, organize and set priorities to meet deadlines
• Proven success in problem solving with cross-functional teams and various departments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
