Job summary

Empresaconfidencial is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee production, cost control, safety, quality, maintenance, receiving and shipping at our facility in Chihuahua, Mexico. You will lead day-to-day operations, implement policies, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a relevant field, 6+ years in manufacturing leadership, and bilingual capabilities to coordinate with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operations.
• Establish and direct Plants Policies & Procedures.
• Direct & coordinate plant operations within Company Policies & Procedures.
• Monitor plant performance and provide updates to senior leadership.
• Review product consistency and monitor scrap rates for trends.
• Review production schedules to meet inventory levels at max efficiency.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Ensure safety policies and a safe workplace with EHS collaboration.
• Maintain inventory levels and control flow of product from operation.
• Develop and execute the plant manufacturing budgets.
• Remove production constraints and allocate resources to attain goals.
• Support QMS and EMS maintenance and development.
• Set plans, budgets and metrics; allocate resources and adjust as needed.
• Eliminate waste and bottlenecks to improve productivity.

Job description

The Plant Manager is responsible for general supervision of all phases of the Plants Operations including: Production, cost reduction, safety, quality control, maintenance, receiving, and shipping.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or Engineering
• 6+ years in manufacturing leadership roles.
• Bilingual

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDES:

• Experience of budgeting/expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices
• Experience implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc. to drive improvement
• Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills.
• Ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB AUTHORITY:

• Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operations.
• Establish and direct Plants Policies & Procedures.
• Direct & coordinate plants operations within Company Policies & Procedures.
• Monitor plants performance on an ongoing basis and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
• Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.
• Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible
• Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
• Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Responsible to ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees.
• Maintain Inventory levels and control flow of product from operation.
• Develop and execute the plants manufacturing budgets.
• Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals.
• "Supports the implementation, maintenance and continuous development of the Management Systems: Quality Management System, Environmental Management System,"
• Accomplish objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
• Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.
