Main Responsibilities
  • Owns the process by which Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) data is communicated to the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) allowing OFP to run effectively. This includes driving improvement of the datamanagement businessprocess including implementation and maintenance of Part Data Management (PDM) and directly supervising related support personnel.
  • Develops needed structure and reporting creations to measure and improve the PDM workflow implementation of the EPDPs and CIs in the factory.
  • Leads the Product Data Management team to successfully achieve the following goals:
  • On time process of change requests for structures in SAP (MBOM).
  • PDM audits for new PDP projects (including audits indicated in Launch Plan/Viewing Tool) and current products (CI – Continuous Improvement), as well as follow-up with engineers to ensure they close their findings on time (activity tracker).
  • Updated PDM manuals/work instructions (Excel documents).
  • Presentations and training for SAP/WF users according to what is taught in Deere (by department – focus on best practices/tools/reports/process changes).
  • Follow-up with engineers to confirm that the ECM (Engineering Change Management) list, master project list, and BRF+ are updated, and follow-up with engineers to ensure they close findings (activity tracker).
  • Follow-up with engineers to complete their assigned tasks (PDM workflows) for new projects and changes to current products CI (Continuous Improvements).
What Skills You Need
  • Work Experience:
  • SAP configurations (PDM).
  • Product engineering experience. (1 - 3 years).
  • Cross functional work exp in multiple areas, i.e., accounting, product eng, quality, manufacturing ops, warehousing/ distribution, production employee supervision, supply mgmt, marketing, HR, industrial eng, etc. (Experience in two areas).
  • Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience. (1 - 3 years).
  • Experience leading cross-functional work groups or teams (1 - 3 years).
  • Knowledge of process management principles, tools and integration.
  • Knowledge of unit processes and operations.
  • Skill in using company information systems and processes.
  • Understanding of specification systems and decision release systems. (i.e. PDM workflows).
  • Knowledge of Product Delivery Process programs.
  • Knowledge of information systems and Product Data Management.

Education
  • Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent).
