Job summary

The Magnum Ice Cream Company in Mexico is seeking a Payroll & Implementation Consultant to lead end‑to‑end payroll and T&A deployment for blue‑collar staff using Strada. This six‑month contract has strong potential for extension or conversion based on project milestones and performance.

Reporting to the Tech HR Payroll and T&A Programme Manager, you will manage discovery, design, configuration, testing, cutover and hypercare, working with external vendors and internal teams to ensure

• Fluent in English (C1/C2) for cross‑functional communication.
• Leadership and project management experience in payroll/T&A implementations.
• Experience with Strada and Workday integrations in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end payroll and T&A implementation projects for blue‑collar populations from initiation to go‑live and hypercare.
• Coordinate with Strada and internal teams on deliverables, timelines, and risk governance.
• Design end‑to‑end payroll/workflow configurations for weekly/biweekly payroll, attendance, leave, overtime, and premium pay rules.
• Perform risk assessment across integration, data, and configuration phases with mitigation plans.
• Validate gross‑to‑net calculations and tax rules within Strada; analyze variances vs legacy payroll.
• Define SIT/UAT, parallel payroll cycles, defect management and data reconciliation before production.
• Develop cutover and hypercare plans for operational readiness and BAU handover.

The role

Are you a hands‑on Payroll & Time &Attendance (T&A) implementation expert looking for a high‑impact transformationchallenge with clear long‑term potential? We are seeking a Payroll & Implementation Consultant to lead the end-to‑endsetup and deployment of our Blue Collar population payroll and T&A solution using Strada. This role begins with a critical6‑month strategic implementation project, with high potential for contract extension or conversion to an indefinite rolebased on project success and individual performance. Reporting directly to the Tech HR Payroll and T&A ProgrammeManager, you will serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) and project lead. You will be responsible for drivingdiscovery, process design, configuration validation, Workday integrations, parallel testing, go‑live cutover, and hypercarestabilization. This is a critical individual contributor role ideal for a seasoned consultant who brings strong accountability,proven leadership skills, rigorous risk assessment capabilities, and proactive stakeholder management, combined withdeep technical expertise in Strada, weekly and bi‑weekly payroll operations, vendor management, andindustrial/blue‑collar workflows.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Lead the end-to‑end payroll and T&A implementation project for the Blue Collar population from initiation through parallel runs, go‑live cutover, and hypercare stabilization, maintaining full accountability for project milestones and deliverables.
• Partner directly with external vendor Strada and internal tech/HR teams to manage deliverables, timelines, integration points (Workday/T&A/Payroll), and project risk governance through active stakeholder management.
• Design and document end-to‑end T&A and payroll workflows tailored to factory and operational environments, including weekly or bi‑weekly payroll frequencies, shift scheduling, attendance, leave management, overtime, and premium pay rules.
• Perform continuous risk assessment across integration, data, and configuration phases, defining proactive mitigation plans to safeguard operational continuity and payroll accuracy.
• Validate gross-to-net calculations, tax rules, and employee earnings within Strada, conducting variance analysis between legacy payroll processes and the new solution.
• Define and execute SIT, UAT, parallel payroll cycles, defect management, and data reconciliation prior to production deployment.
• Develop cutover and hypercare plans, ensuring operational readiness, audit compliance, and seamless knowledge handover to BAU teams upon project completion.

We’re looking for someone who

• Has proven experience leading end-to‑end payroll & T&A implementations and vendor setups, specifically with Strada and Workday integrations.
• Has hands‑on experience designing and implementing weekly or bi‑weekly payroll schemes within industrial, manufacturing, or plant environments.
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills and influence to guide cross‑functional teams, align project priorities, and drive change adoption without direct hierarchical authority.
• Possesses exceptional stakeholder management and communication capabilities, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels (from technical management to plant operations).
• Brings strong analytical depth in risk assessment, proactively identifying and mitigating potential regulatory, technical, or operational payroll risks.
• Drives high accountability, thinking end-to‑end and taking full ownership of project outcomes and results.
• Brings strong domain knowledge of Blue Collar / industrial workforce requirements (complex shift planning, time tracking, overtime rules, labor compliance).
• Is 100% fluent in English (advanced C1/C2 business level) with exceptional communication capabilities.
• Operates confidently as a hands‑on Individual Contributor with strong project management discipline and technical SME depth (no direct reports).
• Is comfortable working in a fast‑moving, evolving organisation.
