Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate security operations ensuring that standardized security procedures (SOPs) are well-known, implemented, followed, updated, and focused on risk prevention.
  • Provide leadership, technical guidance, and support to internal clients on security issues.
  • Coordinate permanent or temporary operations of security guards, security escorts and/or executive protection, including developing and implementing training programs aligned with corporate strategies and regional procedures.
  • Aid in the design and implementation of projects aligned with corporate security strategies.
  • Prepare and supervise technological tools and equipment maintenance schedules and facilitate repairs promptly.
  • Submit recommendations for improvements and additions to the security management program including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general security, and risk management.
  • Identify opportunities and apply continuous improvement tools to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and security risks.
  • Lead or support corporate security investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with country, state, and local security laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Act as liaison on security matters with authorities in the region under the scope.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in managing systems under ISO standards.
  • Supervision and administration of security personnel (security guards).
  • Knowledge of change management.
  • Training and content development skills.
  • Experience in drafting documents and formats.
  • Emergency management skills.
  • Process analysis and continuous improvement experience.
  • Driving experience and a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in corporate investigations.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with local, state, and national security regulations.
