A leading logistics company in Toluca, Mexico, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee functional areas within their Sort Center, including inbound and outbound operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of operations management experience and strong leadership skills, capable of driving process improvements and managing a large team. Flexibility to work varying shifts is required.
Operations Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for one functional area of our Sort Center (Inbound, Sortation, Outbound) as Change Ops. Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Area Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center.
Key job responsibilities include leading and supervising a team of Area Managers and associates in outbound, sort or inbound operations within the Sort Center; being responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of the shift; carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures; accountability for meeting and exceeding operational goals; strategic planning and forecasting; appraising performance; resolving problems; addressing staffing needs; mentoring, training and developing teammates for career progression and learning; and developing and sharing best practices across the shifts and network.
This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment.
A day in the life includes collaboration with Internal Stakeholders - Inbound, Outbound, PS, Sorting, L&D, LP, Quality & PXT Team. Customers include Last Mile for any customer related escalations, Central Agencies like ACES, S&OP, CF Team. This position is expected to have good stakeholder management with the agencies mentioned above, working towards the shared goal of uplifting Customer Experience.
