Cummins Inc. is seeking a manufacturing professional to support and maintain tool room equipment and read simple part drawings. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a high-demand production environment on-site at Cummins facilities.

The ideal candidate will perform maintenance across CNC machines and other tooling, follow established procedures, and contribute to efficiency while ensuring safe work practices and compliance with environmental standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• This position requires basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety practices.
• Experience or training in reading part drawings is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Stop work for major hazards and report them.
• Perform preventive, emergency, corrective and predictive maintenance.
• Operate CNC machines, lathes, grinders, milling machines, drill presses and shapers.

Job Summary:

Services, supports and maintains equipment required by a tool maker. Manufactures components using machine tool equipment with the ability to read and understand part drawings with limited guidance. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Applies high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship. Support equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis. Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring and testing instruments . Follows all process documentation and quality procedures. Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures. Performs quality inspections. Delivery Ability to run all tool room equipment including Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines, lathes, grinders, milling machines, drill presses and shapers. Ability to use measuring devices, layout work and set up of tool room machines to build or fabricate details and assemble as needed. Repairs and maintains manufacturing equipment . Performs and documents preventive, emergency, corrective and predictive maintenance activities. Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks. Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints Schedule maintenance activities around production requirements Solve problems and improve processes Participate in continuous improvement activities Teamwork Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams. Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements. Participates actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
