Gentherm México invites qualified engineers to join our team as Engineer II, NPI. This role focuses on electronic product launches, process improvements, and new product introductions to support our manufacturing lines.

Based at the Celaya site, you will analyze processes, define capacity, develop process flows, create tooling requirements, and drive PPAP/IATF16949 compliant changes. Gentherm México offers a path to growth in a global, inclusive workplace with plants in Acuña, Celaya and

Formación

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic circuit board manufacturing.
Experience in manufacturing engineering.
Process engineering experience.
Experience in new product introductions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer interface skills.

Responsabilidades

Analyze work processes to improve productivity.
Conduct analyses to determine the need for tools, machinery, space, and labor.
Define and document capacity requirements by comparing production volumes and plant production capacity.
Create preliminary process flow diagrams and routings for quotation.
Analyze and define costs, capacities, equipment requirements, and tooling.
Create the final process flow diagram and routings.
Produce tooling drawings, ensuring efficient use of materials and minimal manufacturing time.
Organize, direct, and drive the design and release of production tooling across all processes.
Ensure that design-related documents/changes are in PDM and SAP and maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
Generate ECRs in PDM related to process or product improvements.
Review and approve process drawings, and provide feedback to designers.
Track IARs generated by the manufacturing plant.
Generate the necessary information to justify IARs.
Budget for equipment, machinery, and production processes for capacity or improvement projects.
Identify and improve product quality, process capability, product performance and reliability, and conduct a FMEA.
Review product design using design-to-manufacturing guidelines and work with design and manufacturing engineering.
Provide interpretation of customer requirements and train departments for new product requirements.
Document design issues identified during pre-production builds and follow up with design engineering.
Participate in corrective actions if defective assemblies are found during pre-production builds.
Continuously improve existing product designs and internal processes to increase customer satisfaction.
Understand and meet customer requirements with Zero Defects as the goal.
Process Approach: manage with a process-oriented approach (PDCA and prevention).
Risk Planning and Analysis: perform risk-based thinking and documentation per applicable standards.
Life cycle perspective: consider environmental aspects across processes.
Support ISO 9001/IATF 16949, ISO 14001/ISO 45001 compliance and audits.
Authority to stop/cancel any process not meeting requirements.
