AMETEK Inc. in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, MX is seeking an experienced NDT Technician to perform Non-Destructive Testing inspections on materials and components in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

You will inspect, document, and report test results, support process improvements, read blueprints, and comply with NAS 410 where applicable. A High School diploma and 3 years in manufacturing are preferred; NDT Level II is a plus.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar role.
• NDT Level II certification preferred, NAS 410.
• Experience performing FPI/LPI/PT.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
• Proficiency with inspection, testing and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of quality standards and work instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes using method sheets, drawings, and applicable specifications.
• Inspect materials and components to ensure product quality and process compliance.
• Conduct process monitoring activities, including checklists, audits, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
• Train new and existing technicians on proper NDT procedures, techniques, and best practices.
• Ensure the NDT area complies with all applicable specifications and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation in accordance with quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Job Description:

The NDT Technician performs Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections and evaluations on materials, components, and finished products in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and quality standards. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality, identifying defects, maintaining process compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes using method sheets, drawings, and applicable specifications as required.
• Inspect materials and components to ensure product quality and process compliance.
• Conduct process monitoring activities, including checklists, audits, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
• Train new and existing technicians on proper NDT procedures, techniques, and best practices.
• Ensure the NDT area complies with all applicable specifications (e.g., PPS, WP, MS) and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation in accordance with quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar role.
• NDT Level II certification preferred, in accordance with NAS 410 requirements.
• Experience performing Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI/LPI/PT).
• Experience inspecting aluminum components is a plus.
• Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
• Proficiency in the use of inspection, testing, and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control systems.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and inspection documentation.
• Experience identifying and analyzing defects in materials and components.
• Knowledge of quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.
• Basic root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and report data using computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret inspection results and provide recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements.
• TIG welding knowledge is a plus.
