A language services provider is seeking a VRI Independent Contractor to provide video remote interpreting services remotely. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of medical interpreting experience and be fluent in English and Mixteco. Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor are essential. Formación

• At least 2 years of medical interpreting experience.
• Must have 2-5 years of interpreting experience.
• Respect for Limited English Proficient clients' culture and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video remote interpreting service for clients

• Knowledge of the interpreter Code of Ethics

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of medical interpreting experience
• Spoken Language Qualifications: Fluent with strong verbal communication skills in English and Mixteco
• Must have at least 2-5 years of interpreting experience
• Credentialed in medical interpreting preferred
• Respect for and understanding of our Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients, culture, dialect and beliefs and preferences as it relates to legal/medical care

Technology & Language requirements

• VRI Technology Requirements: Windows 10 or 11 updated to the latest version and updates enabled for OS and Microsoft products
• A good quality USB headset with noise-canceling microphone
• A stable Ethernet connection directly to the modem
• Spoken Language Qualifications: English and Mixteco
