Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Reynosa, Mexico, seeks a Metrology Engineer to ensure the accuracy and compliance of measurement systems used in inspecting and validating medical device components.

You will support Quality, Manufacturing and R&D with metrology expertise, data analysis, and calibration management, developing and maintaining metrology procedures and CMM programs (Zeiss/Calypso).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.

  • Create and maintain CMM programs (Zeiss/Calypso) for first article and receiving inspections.
  • Perform dimensional measurements and analyze data to support quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to define metrology requirements for new products.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality requirements and applicable national and international measurement standards.
  • Manage calibration activities, certification records, and metrology laboratory equipment.
  • Investigate measurement discrepancies and support corrective actions.

As a Metrology Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of measurement systems used in the inspection and validation of medical device components and products. You will support Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D teams through metrology expertise, data analysis, and calibration management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain metrology procedures, calibration systems, and measurement methods.
  • Create and maintain CMM programs (Zeiss/Calypso) for first article and receiving inspections.
  • Perform dimensional measurements and analyze data to support quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to define metrology requirements for new products.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality requirements and applicable national and international measurement standards.
  • Manage calibration activities, certification records, and metrology laboratory equipment.
  • Investigate measurement discrepancies and support corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of metrology experience, preferably within the medical device industry.
  • Experience with GD&T (certification preferred).
  • Experience programming and operating Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software.
  • Experience with Keyence IM systems.
  • Proficiency in metrology software and statistical analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electromechanical systems.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • U.S. Visa required and availability to travel to the United States.
