The MSL leads peer-to-peer scientific exchange with hospital-based specialists and generates medical insights, with a central focus on appropriate antimicrobial use, antimicrobial stewardship, healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), while preserving a clear separation between medical and commercial activities.

Scientific Exchange & Insights

Deliver updated, balanced, non-promotional scientific information (clinical, microbiological, pharmacological/PK-PD, epidemiological, pharmacoeconomic) to hospital-based HCPs and key stakeholders.

Generate, document, and communicate high-quality medical insights from the field to inform the medical strategy of the assigned portfolio.

Engage on antimicrobial stewardship, appropriate use, HAIs, and AMR, contextualized to local resistance epidemiology and institutional needs.

KOL & Stakeholder Engagement / Medical Education

Map and engage the hospital multidisciplinary ecosystem: ID services, ICU/critical care, emergency departments, clinical microbiology laboratories, hospital pharmacy, and infection-control committees.

Prepare scientific materials (with Medical Manager approval) and support congresses, medical events, and educational programs; keep local experts' content accurate.

Clinical Research (Support / Facilitation)

Support investigator and site identification, ISR proposals, and local publication input; collaborate on pharmacovigilance activities including RMP and PASS, and on inspection readiness. Study ownership, timelines, and budget remain with the responsible research function.

Cross-Functional, Medical Information & Compliance

Partner with the Medical Manager and stakeholders on treatment algorithms, guidelines, and care pathways; provide reports/metrics aligned with medical objectives.

Interact closely with Medical Information and the Drug Safety Unit (adverse-event follow-up and scientific dossiers).

Comply with training curricula and participate fully in the Inspection Readiness Process; act in full compliance with Pfizer policies (FCPA, GPIHP, PIGO).

PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Medical Manager & Medical Department, Medical Information & Pharmacovigilance, Training, Business Technology (BT), Corporate Affairs.

Technical & Professional

Up-to-date knowledge of local regulations; fluency in English (written and spoken); ability to prepare and deliver scientific presentations and to teach/train.

Knowledge of scientific, ethical, regulatory, and legal aspects of research in human subjects; MS Office and omnichannel engagement; project/budget administration literacy.
