Mainspring Energy is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to support our engineering team for the Linear Generator platform. You will build practical drafting skills by supporting CAD modeling and drawing work for COTS parts, detailing custom parts, handling assembly rebuilds, and implementing CAD requests from the engineering team.

Formación

• 2–4 years of drafting experience or a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 1–3 years in drafting.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or a comparable CAD package; large assembly management and BOM release workflows.
• Familiarity with ANSI/ASME standards for dimensioning, datums, GD&T, and weld/sheet metal callouts.

Responsabilidades

• Create, refine, and maintain detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for COTS parts.
• Execute on CAD queue tickets to incorporate engineering requests into 2D fabrication drawings, 3D models, and BOMs within SolidWorks and PLM.
• Perform self-reviews and peer reviews to ensure drawings meet ANSI standards and internal requirements before releasing files via PLM.
• Support maintenance of reference assemblies, updating metadata, fix and repair broken model mates, defeature vendor models, and perform rebuilds.
• Assist engineers with SolidWorks questions and support new documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
