TE Connectivity is seeking a purchasing assistant to collect and document supplier data, monitor material quantities and costs to initiate purchases that support production schedules. The role collaborates with production teams to ensure accurate inventory and aligns with internal policies, budgets and cost-saving initiatives.

• Placing the purchase orders in enterprise-wide supply chain systems to the suppliers and ordering appropriate stock levels with specific suppliers per the plan.
• Coordinating with the production teams for accurate inventory numbers and liaising with internal departments regularly to deal with discrepancies.
• Assisting the management in planning the purchasing strategies, key performance indicators, budgets, risk mitigation, cost savings, and inventory partnerships.
• Implementing, reviewing, and updating the documentation of standard processes, procedures, and internal policies.

What your background should look like

Typically requires 1-2 years of related work experience. Completion of high school, vocational training, or equivalent is preferred.
