GE Vernova, Inc. in Querétaro, Mexico, is seeking an Early Career Materials Engineer to support failure analysis, materials characterization, and supplier qualification across the LATAM region.

You will work under guidance from senior engineers and contribute to cross-functional teams across manufacturing and quality disciplines. The role emphasizes metallurgical knowledge, interpretation of drawings and specifications, and involvement in testing programs for aeroderivative and heavy-duty

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, or academic projects accepted).
• Basic knowledge of metallurgy of steels and/or superalloys.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and material specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Support failure analysis and root cause investigations for manufacturing, supplier, and field-related issues across LATAM.
• Perform metallurgical and materials characterization using laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Assist in preparation of technical reports documenting analysis results and corrective actions.
• Provide materials engineering support to manufacturing and repair operations related to aeroderivative and heavy-duty gas turbine technologies.
• Support supplier qualification and monitoring activities, including review of material certifications and process documentation.
• Participate in supplier assessments and audits alongside senior materials or quality engineers.
• Assist in planning and execution of material testing and characterization programs.
• Support quality improvement and corrective action activities using structured problem-solving tools.
• Assist in creation, revision, and interpretation of material and process specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, Engineering, and regional teams.
