Role Overview

About the Client: This is a U.S.-based organization that provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, primarily serving senior living and retirement communities. In parallel, the founders also operate a personal creator brand focused on family, outdoor lifestyle, and long‑form storytelling through digital platforms.

This role will support both sides of the business, which operate under distinct objectives, audiences, and content standards, requiring the ability to adapt communication style, priorities, and execution accordingly.

About the Role

We are seeking a full‑time Virtual Assistant with strong video editing, content organization, and social media execution skills. This role is best suited for someone who can work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and convert provided content into high‑quality, publish‑ready media without constant review or hand‑holding. This is not an on‑camera role and not a clinical or administrative position. The VA will be given raw footage, images, written content, and general direction, and will be expected to execute professionally and efficiently.

Two Distinct Content Streams Critical to This Role
1. Creative and Long Form Content Higher Effort

This portion of the role is more time consuming and highly creative.

Responsibilities include:

  • Editing long‑form YouTube videos ranging from ten to twenty minutes using raw family‑style footage such as outdoor activities, trips, and daily life moments.
  • Combining multiple video clips, photos, and audio into cohesive and engaging stories.
  • Making creative decisions related to clip selection, pacing, music using royalty‑free sources only, transitions, and overall story flow.
  • Repurposing long‑form videos into short‑form content for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.
  • Understanding that YouTube's growth strategy differs significantly from TikTok and Instagram, and adjusting editing style and structure accordingly.
2. Professional and Compliance Focused Content Lower Creativity Higher Precision

This portion of the role is more structured and process driven.

Responsibilities include:

  • Light editing and formatting of healthcare related videos such as product demonstrations and therapy tools.
  • Managing posting and scheduling across Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and creator or affiliate platforms.
  • Publishing clinician spotlights, company updates, educational posts, clinic events, therapy activities, and patient success stories.
  • Creating or refining simple educational graphics and infographics using provided content.
  • Ensuring a professional tone, brand consistency, patient privacy, and compliance with healthcare data protection standards.

Most of this content will be provided or clearly outlined. The focus of the role is execution, refinement, accuracy, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
1. Content Production & Editing
  • Video Editing: Execute high‑quality edits for both long‑form (YouTube/Webinars) and short‑form (Reels/TikTok/Shorts) content.
  • Optimization: Apply platform‑specific formatting, captions, and technical SEO to maximize reach.
2. Distribution & Management
  • Social Media Operations: Manage the end‑to‑end posting process, including scheduling and caption implementation across all platforms.
  • Digital Asset Management: Maintain a highly organized filing system via Google Drive and shared folders for easy retrieval.
3. Analytics & Reporting
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on core KPIs, including views, engagement rates, and follower growth.
Role Scope & Boundaries (Non‑Negotiable)

Operational Status: This is an Execution‑Only role. The Editor acts as the technical hands of the brand, not the clinical or strategic voice.

  • Confidentiality: Maintaining the "Fort Knox" integrity of sensitive healthcare and family data.
  • Accuracy: Ensuring provided compliance guidance is followed to the letter during the editing process.
  • Efficiency: Streamlining the workflow from raw footage to scheduled post.

Qualifications & Skills

Core Competencies (Must‑Have)
  • Video Editing Mastery: Expert‑level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve. You must be capable of handling complex long‑form YouTube edits (storytelling, pacing, audio leveling) in addition to high‑energy short‑form clips.
  • Platform IQ: A deep understanding of the technical differences between YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, specifically regarding audience retention and platform‑specific algorithms.
  • Precision & Context: High‑level English comprehension to ensure captions are 100% accurate and medical/professional context is preserved.
  • Operational Discipline:
    • Strong self‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
    • Willingness to utilize Hubstaff for transparent time‑tracking and productivity.
Experience & "Bonus" Assets (Preferred)
  • U.S. Market Experience: Prior experience working with U.S.-based clients or creators.
  • Niche Familiarity: Background in Healthcare, Wellness, or Professional Services (understanding the tone and "feel" of high‑compliance industries).
  • Affiliate Ecosystems: Familiarity with Amazon Creator or other affiliate marketing platforms is a significant plus.
