Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Monterrey is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Superintendent to lead daily production operations, uphold safety and quality, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet business objectives and customer expectations. As a strong leader, you will develop front-line supervisors, champion Lean initiatives, and monitor performance metrics to deliver reliable production and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience managing production teams, supervisors, or operational functions.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
• Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules, quality requirements, and delivery commitments.
• Drive performance to achieve 98% schedule adherence and 97% Right First Time (RFT).
• Optimize utilization of labor, materials, and equipment to reach 85% operational efficiency.
• Develop and coach front-line supervisors while fostering accountability and high performance.
• Champion proactive safety culture with hazard identification, near-miss reporting, and risk mitigation.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction and productivity.
• Monitor and analyze operational metrics and translate data into improvement plans.
• Use structured problem-solving to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other teams to drive excellence.
• Communicate performance and improvement opportunities to leadership via reviews.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules, quality requirements, and delivery commitments are achieved.
• Drive performance to maintain a minimum of 98% schedule adherence and 97% Right First Time (RFT) results.
• Optimize the utilization of labor, materials, and equipment to achieve a minimum operational efficiency of 85% .
• Develop and coach front-line supervisors while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and high performance.
• Champion a proactive safety culture through hazard identification, near-miss reporting, and risk mitigation, with a goal of zero recordable incidents .
• Lead and support Lean Manufacturing , Kaizen , and continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, process optimization, and productivity enhancement.
• Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, translating data into actionable recommendations and improvement plans.
• Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other functional teams to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate performance results, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities to leadership through regular business reviews.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology , or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience managing production teams, supervisors, or operational functions.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
• Ability to influence and engage teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) , and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, production schedules, and quality standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Data-driven decision-making and process improvement mindset.
