Mondelēz International is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Start-Up Lead in Chihuahua to steer the plant start-up, commissioning and ramp‑up of a new production line. You will drive IL6S, Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, coordinate multi‑functional teams, and ensure safe, compliant, high‑performing operations from day one.

The role requires engineering background, hands-on start‑up experience, and strong leadership to deliver on safety, quality, productivity and cost targets across the site.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience leading manufacturing start-ups or line commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and TPM concepts.
• Proven leadership, coaching and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Job Description

You will leadthe production operations in the Plant and delivering key performance targets(SQCDSM) in safety, quality, productivity, volumes, cost, sustainability, organizational morale. You will ensure our manufacturing strategy is implemented and is fully effectiveand you will strive to build a high performing organization.

How you will contribute

You will:

• Manages change/ transformation change/ transformation amongst the Operating teams in theimplementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma phase journey,FoF-Factory of Future Line centric organization & roles(AM-Autonomous Maintenance, PM-Progressive Maintenance and an integrated 6 star model within operating Lineteams) to progress into Self sufficient teams.Role models Values and principles through effective coaching, mentoringand development of the team.
• Support the Manufacturing annual operational plans and targets to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability,Engagement goals in line with the site Compelling business need. coach Line Leaders, cascade & communicate theplans and targets to employees to ensure alignment and understanding around priorities, focus and KPI’s.
• Lead and be Accountable to establish a strong Governance to Review, Control Operational performance andContinuous Improvement plan and embed a zero loss mindset to constantly improve and deliver against best in classboth internally and externally. Drive the Operating team to identify and manage improvements to technology, culture,capability and operating systems to deliver a best practice and reliable operation.
• Support all Manufacturing standards, Governance, Compliance requirements (e.g. CorporateQuality, Food safety & GMP, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Sustainability, Code of conduct, Policies &principles, Operational standards, Local legal requirements, Internal Audit norms, & other procedures updated fromtime to time) are in place, understood by all, and is regularly reviewed and monitored for effective implementation.
• Lead and be Accountable for Talent, Capabilities & Engagement for the Manufacturing team - identify andimplement critical levers to attract, retain & develop critical talent and builds capability at all levels, technical andbehavioral, to build a sustainable workforce profile for the future. Partner effectively with all multi-functional peersinternally & externally (outside the plant)to achieve objectives, goals and KPI’s.

• Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in CPG industry with experience in TPM-Total productivemaintenance, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and concepts

• An Engineer with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills and Knowledge of industrialmaintenance and manufacturing equipment.

Principales responsabilidades

• Ser el líder integral del start-up de la línea y el punto de coordinación entre las diferentes funciones involucradas.
• Construir y ejecutar el master plan de commissioning, start-up, qualification, verification, ramp-up y handover.
• Coordinar las actividades relacionadas con la instalación física, integración, pruebas y puesta en marcha de la línea de producción.
• Coordinar equipos multidisciplinarios de Producción, Ingeniería, Mantenimiento, Automatización, Procesos, Calidad, Seguridad y proveedores.
• Liderar pruebas de funcionamiento y desempeño desde proceso hasta empaque, verificando parámetros críticos y capacidad.
• Dirigir la solución de problemas durante el arranque y priorizar restricciones que afecten seguridad, calidad, scrap u OEE.
• Establecer juntas de seguimiento diario, escalamiento y cierre de acciones.
• Coordinar contratistas y proveedores involucrados en el proceso de instalación de la línea.
• Participar en la contratación y capacitación del personal que posteriormente será responsable de la operación de la línea.
• Asegurar la documentación técnica, SOPs, estándares de operación y mantenimiento, así como la transferencia de conocimiento a las áreas funcionales.
• Diseñar el plan de arranque y gestionar la curva de aprendizaje hasta alcanzar un desempeño repetible y sostenible.
• Formalizar los criterios de aceptación y asegurar un handover exitoso de la línea a Operaciones.

Perfil requerido

• Ingeniería Mecánica, Eléctrica, Mecatrónica, Industrial, Química, Alimentos o carrera afín.
• Experiencia relevante en manufactura, proyectos de capital, instalación, commissioning y arranque de líneas de producción.
• Historial comprobable participando o liderando start-ups e instalación de nuevas líneas o procesos de manufactura.
• Deseable experiencia en industria de alimentos, empaques y/o procesos continuos.
• Conocimiento de Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, Six Sigma, WCM o sistemas equivalentes de excelencia operacional.
• Dominio de indicadores como OEE, scrap, downtime, MTBF y MTTR, así como gestión de riesgos de seguridad.
• Experiencia liderando equipos multifuncionales, contratistas y proveedores bajo presión de cronograma.
• Alta capacidad de toma de decisiones, priorización, comunicación y solución estructurada de problemas.
• Excelente capacidad de comunicación y liderazgo transversal.
• Inglés funcional/profesional para interacción con proveedores y equipos regionales/globales.

Ingredientes extras que buscamos

• Experiencia hands-on: participación directa en instalación, commissioning, pruebas y arranque de líneas de producción.
• Experiencia en NPI / Start-Up: haber llevado nuevas líneas o procesos desde la etapa de proyecto hasta alcanzar una operación estable y sostenible.
• Conocimiento sólido de manufactura: entendimiento de procesos productivos, capacidad, eficiencia, pérdidas, calidad y confiabilidad operacional.
• Integración de sistemas: entendimiento de la interacción entre equipos mecánicos, eléctricos, automatización, procesos y operación.
• Project Management: experiencia coordinando proveedores, contratistas, cronogramas, riesgos, punch lists y entregables.
• Mentalidad de mejora continua: capacidad para identificar pérdidas y resolver problemas utilizando RCA, Kaizen, TPM, WCM, Lean o Six Sigma.
• Sentido de urgencia y ownership: capacidad para tomar responsabilidad sobre los problemas del arranque, movilizar diferentes áreas y proveedores y dar seguimiento hasta su resolución.
