Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface to manufacturing partners, driving Operational Perfection and Factory Excellence in PCBA and SMT environments.

You will be part of a Regional Supply Chain Operations team accountable of guiding and leading our manufacturing partners to meet our customers’ expectations as well as helping Cisco to create, implement and adopt new processes, platforms and technologies that enables better customer experience.

TheManufacturing Engineeris the primary technical interface to the Manufacturing Partner site and is accountable for driving both Operational Perfection (Delivery, Quality, and Cost) and Factory Excellence (capability, efficiency, security and sustainability). Position requires strong knowledge on PCBA manufacturing operations and SMT technology roadmap.
Supports manufacturing engineering functions at the manufacturing sites including:
Develops and maintains manufacturing methods and operation sequences for parts, components, and assemblies.
Collaborates with design engineering and production suppliers to coordinate manufacturing processes.
Addresses moderately complex manufacturing challenges; recommends tooling and process improvements.
Develops and implements manufacturing processes; estimates manufacturing costs and time standards; maintains documentation.
Supports team efforts; begins to influence manufacturing workflows and process improvements.
Coordinates communication between design, production, and engineering teams; prepares reports and updates.
