Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface to manufacturing partners, driving Operational Perfection and Factory Excellence in PCBA and SMT environments.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Industry knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Strong documentation and root-cause analysis skills in a manufacturing context.
• Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency required.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and maintains manufacturing methods and operation sequences for parts, components, and assemblies.
• Collaborates with design engineering and production suppliers to coordinate manufacturing processes.
• Addresses moderately complex manufacturing challenges; recommends tooling and process improvements.
• Develops and implements manufacturing processes; estimates manufacturing costs and time standards; maintains documentation.
• Supports team efforts; begins to influence manufacturing workflows and process improvements.
• Coordinates communication between design, production, and engineering teams; prepares reports and updates.
• Manage daily support of our products and tools in manufacturing.
• Support NPI launch and govern sustaining products within manufacturing partners.
• Support product transfers between manufacturing sites.
• Analyze various sets of data and programs for quality & process control.
• Drive process optimization, yield improvements and process consistency within manufacturing sites.
• Provides technical support for all systemic defects, line stops, material purges and quality issues.
• Factory site technical quality metrics ownership and driving metrics improvement relating to structural test.
• Govern ECO and deviation implementation during bom change or fab respin.
• Enforce & review SoP docs and SPC specs (Yield, Cpk, GR&R), during phase gate transitions and periodically for sustaining production.
• Conduct audits of factory processes.
• Provide oversight during critical production stages.
• Keep close loop with ProdOps central team

Your Impact

TheManufacturing Engineeris the primary technical interface to the Manufacturing Partner site and is accountable for driving both Operational Perfection (Delivery, Quality, and Cost) and Factory Excellence (capability, efficiency, security and sustainability). Position requires strong knowledge on PCBA manufacturing operations and SMT technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Supports manufacturing engineering functions at the manufacturing sites including:

Develops and maintains manufacturing methods and operation sequences for parts, components, and assemblies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor´s degree or equivalent, 3-4 years of experience at an electronics manufacturing engineering / factory
• Industry knowledge and understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Working knowledge of statistical methods (SPC, AQL), as used in a Mfg. context.
• Clarity in documenting issues. Persistence in following up on root cause analysis & corrective actions by responsible parties.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills (in Spanish and English).
