A leading financial institution in Mexico City is seeking a candidate to manage risk policies related to secured loans. The ideal candidate will have a background in economics or engineering and possess analytical skills along with experience in data management or programming. Proficiency in SAS Base and Python is preferred. This role requires handling relationships with partners and providing timely analysis on risk parameters.

Role purpose
  • Co-ordinate and manage projects; typically working on smaller projects/assignments.
  • Assist in delivery of larger projects.
  • Implement company policy and contribute to the attainment of functional results.
  • Ensure the quality of tasks/services provided by colleagues, involving regular process checks or review of output by a co-worker and/or supervisor.
  • Provide advice and assistance through application of acquired knowledge.
  • Identify and escalate issues.
  • Communicate technical/sensitive information.
  • Co-ordinate and oversee work for a small team to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures in own team.
  • Support change initiatives and elevate any concerns.
  • Responsible for the credit risk management for secured loans.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implementation of Risk Policies/Strategies aligned with the risk appetite for Secured loans.
  • Managing the relationship with strategic partners, such as Kavak.
  • Provide analysis and explain the main variations in risk metrics for mortgages and/or auto loans.
  • Report risk parameters to the Business / Product stakeholders, in line with the FRP.
  • Provide proper analysis and feedback for reports.
  • Provide analytical support and adequate governance for all policy changes, model and strategy changes, in accordance with local and regional policy guidelines.
  • Communicate trends, concerns, issues and opportunities to Business / Product in a timely manner.
  • Scale potential risks to the top.
Qualifications
  • Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Management, or equivalent academic background.
  • Previous experience in Risk and/or Data management and/or Programming related matters.
  • Intermediate English.
  • Analytical skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Planning, organization skills, negotiation skills, ability to influence people and effective communication.
  • Accountability and compromise with target dates.
  • Previous experience in Risk and/or Business-related matters is preferred.
  • Business skills with understanding of lending products from marketing, pricing and policy perspective and correlation with risk strategies definition is preferred.
  • Prior experience using SAS Base, Python is preferred.
