Mondelēz International is seeking a senior finance leader to drive accounting and external reporting excellence across US GAAP and local GAAP. You will oversee monthly close, balance sheet integrity, and KPI reporting while coordinating cross-functional teams and system improvements (SAP, SLAN, FIT/HFM).

You will build and guide a high-performing AER team, develop talent, and embed strong controls and compliance with policy and SOX requirements, while identifying opportunities to leverage

Formación

  • Technical expertise in accounting and external reporting including understanding of U.S. GAAP, IFRS or local GAAP, close processes and financial reporting systems.
  • Expertise in policy, controls and compliance design including SOX reporting.
  • General knowledge of tax laws and indirect and direct tax with business acumen and understanding of our business and finance beyond accounting.
  • Leadership skills including proven business partnering and communication skills.
  • Experience of working as a finance leader managing cross-functional and business partner teams to drive timely and accurate results.
  • Growth/digital mindset and the ability to identify strategic opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Integrity and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with our values and policies and external regulations.

Responsabilidades

  • Manage monthly close with accurate U.S. GAAP/local GAAP reporting and KPI integrity.
  • Provide insights into balance sheet movements and cash flow; support process change projects.
  • Ensure strong controls and compliance in the area and with AER policies.
  • Coordinate accounting services with operating needs; lead harmonization projects for AER processes and systems (SAP, SLAN, FIT/HFM).
  • Build and lead a high-performing AER team and develop talent across the function.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement new accounting guidance.

You will develop and implement accounting practices and procedures. You will provide and interpret data from accounting records and coordinate accounting services and integrate them with operating needs. In this role, you will oversee the management of such processes as fixed assets, leases, intercompany cross charges, new accounting rules, restructuring programs, and accounting for joint ventures, among others. This role may also include people management responsibilities.

How you will contribute

You will: Manage elements of the monthly accounting close process including ensuring accurate and timely U.S. GAAP/local GAAP reporting and the timeliness and integrity of local financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations and KPIs. You will also provide insights into balance sheet movements and cash flow and support implementation of process change projects Ensure a strong controls and compliance environment in your area of scope and ensure full compliance with our AER policies Coordinate accounting services and integrate them with operating needs. You will also provide and interpret data from accounting records as needed Lead projects to drive for harmonization, efficiencies and improvements to ways of working on AER processes and systems such as SAP, SLAN and FIT/HFM reporting tools and build a mindset of continuous improvement within the team. You will also lead implementation efforts on new accounting guidance Build a high-performing Accounting and External Reporting (AER) team (Mondelēz International employees and Mondelēz International Business Services business partner). Depending on the nature of the role, your job may involve recruiting and developing talent across AER and to drive our AER talent agenda globally.

You will bring experience and knowledge in:

  • TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in accounting and external reporting including understanding of U.S. GAAP, IFRS or local GAAP, close processes and financial reporting systems.
  • Expertise in policy, controls and compliance design including SOX reporting.
  • General knowledge of tax laws and indirect and direct tax BUSINESS ACUMEN and an understanding of our business and finance beyond accounting and external reporting scope LEADERSHIP SKILLS including proven business partnering and communication skills.
  • Experience of working as a finance leader managing cross-functional and business partner teams to drive timely and accurate results.
  • GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET and the ability to identify strategic opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
