A leading manufacturing company in Querétaro is seeking a tooling technician to manage preventive maintenance and ensure high-quality production molds. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience, particularly with urethane injection molds. Responsibilities include planning repairs and managing tooling quality, ensuring compliance with standards. Candidates should have a technical background in mechanics or a related field, with knowledge of lean methodologies and quality management processes.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing processes, preferably with urethane injection molds.
• Knowledge of parts and components for urethane injection and basic knowledge of electricity.
• Experience with IATF 16949, Core Tools, FMEA, and GD&T.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and achieve the preventive maintenance program for molds and tools.
• Implement mold cleaning according to checklist standards.
• Plan repairs based on customer requirements.
• Manage tooling requirements and ensure quality.
• Take fast action on tooling issues affecting production.

Responsibilities

• Ensures appropriate monitoring and acheivement of the preventive maintenance program for production molds and tools.
• Ensures proper implementation of mold cleaning, cumplying at 100% check list cleaning molding.
• Plan the mold repairs according to internal and external customer requirements.
• Cover tooling requirements on time and in the best conditions according the needs of production areas in the plant.
• Ensures and maintains the quality and good conditions of the tooling according to customer requirements (Coordinating the tooling repairs, components change, preventive maintenance and mold cleaning).
• Implement reaction plans if necessary and give a fast response to production about tooling issues.
• Application of the 5's within your workspace.
• Manages inventory levels of spare parts and secondary equipment with suppliers, purchasing and engineering area.
• Identifies during the PM the potential problems with tooling and/or components that could put on risk their usage by production areas and communicate it to their immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Machine and tool technician or engineer in mechanics, industrial or similar.
• 3 or more years of experience in the m anufacturing p rocesses area, preferably in urethane injection molds, multi-process tooling, and basic knowledge of electricity.
• Definition of max and min for spare parts control, knowledge of parts and/or components for urethane injection, basic knowledge of lean methodology, principles of the manufacturing process (assembly and urethane), and process steps (process design, specification book, and process release), design and manufacturing of tools and equipment, knowledge of metal machining processes. Knowledges in IATF 16949, Core Tools, FMEA, interpretation of drawings (GD&T).
