Zebra Technologies Enterprise de México, S. de R.L. de C.V. seeks an experienced Senior Machinery Operator for its manufacturing and converting lines. Operate, monitor, and adjust equipment to ensure continuous high-quality production flow.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining equipment, and assisting less-experienced operators while adhering to ISO standards, safety protocols, and 5S practices.

Formación

  • Minimum: High school diploma, technical certification, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience operating machinery and production equipment in manufacturing/converting.
  • Ability to read technical job orders, set up tooling, and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality control standards.
  • Capability to move/handle production materials up to 22 kg (50 lbs) and work shifts.

Responsabilidades

  • Operate and set up manufacturing and converting machinery (die-cutting, cutting, laminating, printing, finishing).
  • Perform first-line troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect finished products against work orders and ISO specs; perform quality tests.
  • Follow safety practices, PPE, 5S, and environmental guidelines.
  • Guide and support junior operators as needed, promoting teamwork and safety.

What We're Looking For

Operates, sets up, and monitors machinery and equipment used in manufacturing and converting production processes. This role requires experienced individuals to follow strict safety protocols, ensure rigorous quality standards are met, resolve operational issues, and maintain high efficiency in daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate and understand the mechanical function of converting equipment with ink and color matching
  • Perform quality tests in compliance with ISO procedures and maintain productivity standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex issues with limited supervision
  • Solve problems through troubleshooting, collaboration and reviewing instructions and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve problems and improve processes
  • Follow work orders, labeling requirements, and established safety practices, including the use of PPE
  • Build positive working relationships within the team and department
  • Learn, adhere to, and follow company processes, policies, and directions
  • Train team members as directed by supervisor
  • Uphold company values and standards in all activities
Key Responsibilities

Operate and Monitor: Set up, run, and adjust manufacturing and converting machinery (such as die-cutting, slitting, laminating, or printing/finishing units) ensuring continuous, high-quality production flow. Troubleshoot & Maintain: Identify equipment malfunctions, perform first-line troubleshooting, and execute routine preventative maintenance to minimize line downtime. Ensure Quality & Compliance: Inspect finished products against work orders and technical specifications; perform standard quality tests in accordance with ISO procedures. Uphold Safety Standards: Adhere to all plant safety regulations, PPE requirements, 5S methodologies, and environmental guidelines at all times. Optimize Workflow: Manage job setups, tooling changes, and material changes efficiently to meet established shift productivity goals. Team Leadership & Support: Guide and support junior operators, fostering a collaborative, safe, and productive work environment.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Must-Haves)

High school diploma, technical certification, or equivalent.

3+ years of progressive experience operating machinery and production equipment within a manufacturing or converting environment.

Proven ability to read technical job orders, set up tooling, and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting.

Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality control standards.

Ability to lift, handle, or position production materials (up to 50 lbs / 22 kg occasionally) and work standard shift rotations.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

Experience with converting, finishing, web handling, or packaging machinery.

Familiarity with ISO quality standards and lean manufacturing/5S practices.

Experience training, mentoring, or acting as a line lead for machine operators.

Operador Senior de Maquinaria (Manufactura y Conversión)

Opera, ajusta y monitorea maquinaria y equipos utilizados en los procesos de manufactura y conversión. Este rol requiere personal con experiencia para seguir estrictos protocolos de seguridad, garantizar los estándares de calidad establecidos, solucionar fallas operativas y mantener una alta eficiencia en las líneas de producción.

Responsabilidades Clave

Operar y Monitorear: Configurar, operar y ajustar equipos de manufactura y conversión (como unidades de troquelado, corte, laminado, impresión o acabado), asegurando un flujo de producción continuo y de alta calidad. Diagnosticar y Mantener: Identificar anomalías en los equipos, ejecutar ajustes mecánicos básicos y realizar mantenimiento preventivo de primer nivel para reducir paros no programados. Asegurar Calidad y Cumplimiento: Inspeccionar el producto terminado conforme a las órdenes de trabajo y especificaciones técnicas; ejecutar pruebas de calidad bajo normas y procedimientos ISO. Cumplir Normas de Seguridad: Respetar y aplicar activamente todos los protocolos de seguridad industrial, uso de EPP, metodología 5S y lineamientos ambientales. Optimizar la Productividad: Realizar montajes, cambios de herramentales y abastecimiento de insumos de manera ágil para cumplir con las metas de producción del turno. Liderazgo Operativo: Apoyar y orientar a operadores de menor experiencia, promoviendo el trabajo en equipo y una cultura de seguridad.

Requisitos Mínimos (Indispensables)

Bachillerato concluido, carrera técnica o equivalente.

3+ años de experiencia comprobable en la operación de maquinaria y equipos de producción en entornos industriales, de manufactura o conversión.

Habilidad demostrada para interpretar órdenes de trabajo, realizar montajes y solucionar problemas mecánicos básicos.

Compromiso demostrado con la seguridad operativa y el control de calidad.

Capacidad para mover o manipular materiales de producción (hasta 22 kg / 50 lbs ocasionalmente) y disponibilidad de turnos.

Requisitos Deseables

Experiencia previa con equipos de conversión, manejo de bobinas, troquelado, laminado o empaque.

Conocimiento práctico de normas de calidad ISO y metodologías 5S / Lean Manufacturing.

Experiencia capacitando a nuevos operadores o fungiendo como soporte de línea.
