Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop ML models rather than training.

You will collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to turn a documented automation roadmap into shipped workflows. Prior hands-on work with LLMs, LangChain, and API integrations is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship internal automation roadmap, building production systems on top of ML models.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to translate roadmaps into shipped workflows.
• Demonstrate experience with LangChain, LangGraph, and related frameworks.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As Machine Learning Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.
