Caterpillar Torreón in Mexico is seeking a logistics-focused professional to support procurement and supply chain processes within our facilities.

The role involves developing flows to track lead times, identifying improvement opportunities, and generating reports on transportation costs and carrier performance, with on-site work five days a week. Strong SAP/MRC knowledge and English communication are required.

Formación

  • Education: Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year in material procurement and supply chain.
  • Knowledge: SAP / MRC.
  • Language: Intermediate English.
  • Availability to travel: No.
  • Availability for shift rotation: No.

Responsabilidades

  • Assist in developing process flows to track lead time and identify opportunities to reduce lead times.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements including cost, quality, and service of customer needs and issues.
  • Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
  • Generating and analyzing reports of transportation costs and carrier performance; planning and tracking lead times with compliance.

What you will do:
  • Assisting in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity and identifying opportunities to reduce lead times.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements including cost, quality, and service of customer needs and issues.
  • Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
  • Generating and analyzing reports of transportation costs and carrier performance. Planning and tracking lead times including compliance with related regulations.
What you have:
