Job summary

FedEx Express Latin America and Caribbean Division is hiring a Courier in Tepic, Mexico. You will handle delivery, sorting, and pickup of packages, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while following safety rules.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to lift heavy packages. English skills are a plus, and you must be able to work variable shifts.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license for vehicle assigned.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs (32 kgs) and maneuver up to 150 lbs (68 kgs) with equipment.
• 21 years old or over.
• Must pass Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and basic Math tests.
• Basic English skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, sort, and pick up packages with courteous service.
• Complete required paperwork and ensure conformance to FedEx Express features of service.
• Accurate, timely pick-up, sorting, and delivery of packages.
• Seek additional business from current customers and pass leads to Sales.
• Inform Sales and manager of changes in customer activity.
• Check packages for proper labeling, content legality, weight, size, and documentation.
• Provide necessary paperwork for pickups/deliveries and ensure security of property.
• Follow safety policies and maintain vehicle appearance and condition.

High School degree/Equivalent. Must possess appropriate license for vehicle assigned in accordance with specific country regulations. Good driving record. Neat and clean cut appearance. Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player. Must be 21 years old or over. Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and math sections of the Basic Skills Test. Ability to lift 70 lbs. (32kgs) and to maneuver and single package weighing up to 150 lbs. (68kgs) with appropriate equipment. Customer orientated with good organizational skills. Must be able to work variable shifts. Basic English skills preferred.

Job Responsibilities

To provide courteous and efficient delivery, sorting, and pick-up of packages and ensure shipment of packages by completing all necessary paperwork and checking shipments for conformance to FedEx Express features of service. Accomplishes accurate and timely pick-up, selection, inspection, and delivery of assigned packages. Seeks additional business from current customers, passes leads to Station Ops manager or Sales person. Informs Sales person and his direct manager of changes in customer use/competitor’s actions. Checks packages to ensure proper labeling, legality of content including weight and size, proper wrapping, insurance values, special requirements for hazardous material shipment, and compliance with Customs documentations required at destination. Provides necessary paperwork relating to the pick-up and delivery of packages, such as airway bills, delivery records, vehicle conditions, Duties/Taxes invoices with neatness and accuracy. Ensures proper security of FedEx Express and customer property such as cash, packages, equipment, and hazardous materials. Ensures his/her own personal safety and security at all times by following FedEx Safety policies and procedures. Operates vehicle safely and efficiently, complying with specific country regulations and corporate policies. Strives for improved productivity through constructive suggestions for better methods, procedures, etc. Collects D/T invoices from delivered shipments that must be processed by Customs Authorities (when necessary). Ensures customers have adequate supply of FedEx Express material for shipping. Maintains neat and clean appearance of self and uniform and company assigned vehicle.
