Formación

Job Summary

Responsible for reviewing and interpreting project requirements from construction documents and specifications to design tailored lighting control systems. This role communicates effectively with sales agents and customers throughout all design stages, leverages visual design software to generate deliverables through the RFA process, proposes design modifications when appropriate, and produces the bill of materials, layouts, and submittals.

This position follows a hybrid work model, with three days on-site and two days working from home. The local office is located at the Apodaca Plant (Aeropuerto).

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Design lighting control systems based on construction documents, specifications, and customer or sales agent requirements, including recommending changes or improvements to the original design.
  • Use construction and visual design software to review, mark up, and interpret construction documents such as fixture schedules, details, and single-line diagrams.
  • Provide technical support to sales agents and customers on project-specific lighting control applications and contribute to value engineering efforts to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Acuity to support special projects beyond the immediate team scope.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Acuity Brands product portfolios, as well as competitor products and industry standards.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree completed (Electrical Eng, Mechatronic Eng)
  • Strong experience with AutoCAD, AGI, Revit, or similar CAD and design software.
  • Familiarity with lighting systems, lighting controls, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of engineering documentation and construction drawings.
