Clarios is seeking a senior Requirements Engineer in San Pedro Garza García to lead requirements analysis and ensure alignment across engineering functions. You will manage requirements from capture to sign-off, guide product direction, and mentor team members.

The role emphasizes cross-functional communication, data-driven recommendations, and active involvement in next-gen program planning. Strong collaboration with stakeholders is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in related field with proven industry experience.
• Technical Master’s degree (thesis track or equivalent) with some industry experience.
• Ph.D. in a technically rigorous program with limited industry experience.

Responsabilidades

• Gather customer and stakeholder requirements, including standards and safety needs.
• Manage and analyze requirements, map, prioritize, and decompose to guide development.
• Provide performance predictions and recommendations from data and simulations.
• Use established requirement tools for traceability and documentation.
• Validate requirements with teams and prepare sign-off documents.
• Predict future product requirements to support next-gen programs.
• Contribute to RFQ/RFI with compliance analysis and stakeholder discussions.
• Support standardization activities and safety-related requirement considerations.
• Mentor engineering team members on requirements processes and trends.

Expectations:

• Carries out technical engineering tasks with limited guidance.
• Established track record of successful execution based on personal contributions and leadership
• Can assume the lead role on most launch projects and pre-launch projects
• Establishes timelines and resource needs for assigned projects involving multiple engineering functions.
• Capable of clearly communicating technical topics across functions to achieve alignment and buy in

Main Tasks:

• Gathering of customer and stakeholder requirements, including internal and external standards, safety requirements, customer specifications, product deliverables, and direct customer input where required.
• Management and analysis of requirements, including mapping, categorization, prioritization, reconciliation of competing customer demands, and decomposition of requirements from product technology applications down to subsystem and component level to guide product development direction.
• Perform requirements reconciliation and provide performance predictions and recommendations to the product development team based on historical test data, simulation data, vehicle battery application knowledge, and available modelling and simulation tools.
• Apply established requirement tools according to the requirements analysis process, including transfer of requirements into and out of the requirement system, traceability support, and preparation of structured working documents for engineering and project teams.
• Validate and verify that established requirements meet internal and external customer needs by working with product development teams, applying own analysis in the specific engineering domain, and setting up Requirements Sign-Off documents in line with project gate expectations.
• Predict product requirements to anticipate next generation customer needs and support next generation product programs.
• Contribute to RFQ and RFI processes with compliance analysis, requirements management, requirement transfer activities, and support of customer discussions regarding specifications, requirement interpretations, and compliance positions.
• Support internal and external standardization activities where required and apply relevant internal and external standards consistently within the requirements management process.
• Support identification and consideration of safety-related requirements within the requirements analysis and management process.
• Mentor and guide engineering team members on the requirements analysis process, customer test specifications, requirement trends, specific applications, and effective use of requirement management practices.

Minimum Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in related field with proven industry experience.
• or Technical Master’s degree (thesis track or equivalent) in related field with some industry experience
• or Scientifically relevant Ph.D. from a technically rigorous program and institution with limited industry experience.
