Job summary

Neogen is seeking a Revenue Accounting Specialist to support Mexico and Guatemala operations, focusing on revenue recognition, accounts receivable, reconciliations, reporting, and internal controls. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, cross-functional collaboration, and interaction with corporate auditors.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience in a multinational environment, solid knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, and proficiency with SAP B1.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or multi-entity environment.
• Experience with revenue accounting, accounts receivable, financial reporting or COGS accounting.
• Hands-on, organized and proactive; able to interact with external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reclassifications.
• Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations; resolve outstanding items timely.
• Research technical accounting matters under US GAAP and local GAAP; apply correct treatments.
• Analyze revenue transactions for correct recognition, cut-off, and classification; perform reconciliations.
• Own account reconciliations; maintain SOX controls, testing, and remediation.
• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions and risk identification.
• Support audits and coordinate with external auditors and advisors.
• Assist across Mexico and LATAM entities; participate in regional finance projects.
