Job summary

UL Solutions in Mexico is seeking a senior laboratory supervisor to oversee a multidisciplinary team in the Wire and Cable sector. You will coordinate testing programs, ensure compliance with standards, and drive continuous improvement in test methods and equipment usage.

The role focuses on leadership, safety, and collaboration with global stakeholders to meet client requirements and uphold UL’s quality standards.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related discipline.
• Eight+ years of directly related experience in laboratories or cable manufacturing.
• At least five years of management/leadership experience.
• Preferably demonstrated experience in the UL Cable certification process.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coach staff.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze special testing needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow and supervise laboratory staff to optimize utilization.
• Train staff and provide career counseling as a working supervisor.
• Collaborate with supervisors on staffing, performance appraisals, and transfers.
• Develop operating, maintenance, and test procedures in line with safety policies.
• Communicate test results and provide feedback on testing methods and data sheets.
