About the Role
Your mission as a KYC & Compliance Analyst will be to protect Ledn’s platform by ensuring robust Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) controls that align with the highest global regulatory standards. You will conduct due diligence, monitor transactions, report suspicious activity, and support regulatory filings and audits across an international digital asset environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify customer information for onboarding, periodic reviews, and event‑driven reviews.
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high‑risk clients.
- Validate documentation for identity, beneficial ownership, source of funds, and proof of address.
- Ensure compliance with Ledn’s internal policies and external AML/CFT regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer data in compliance systems and CRM tools.
- Support ongoing monitoring of customer accounts and transactions for unusual or suspicious activity.
- Escalate potential red flags and assist in the preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Collaborate with the broader Compliance team on investigations and regulatory audits.
- Support risk assessments and testing of compliance controls to ensure continuous improvement.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining KYC/AML procedures and compliance frameworks across jurisdictions.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams—Operations, Risk, and Product—to embed compliance in business workflows.
- Contribute to internal documentation, process optimization, and training initiatives.
- Stay current on regulatory developments, industry best practices, and crypto compliance trends (e.g., FATF, FinTRAC, OFAC).
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in KYC, AML, or compliance, preferably in crypto, fintech, or financial services.
- Deep understanding of AML/CFT regulations, customer due diligence, and sanctions screening.
- Familiarity with crypto products (Bitcoin, stablecoins, etc.) and blockchain transaction monitoring.
- Experience with compliance or onboarding platforms (e.g., ComplyAdvantage, Persona, SumSub, Onfido).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish fluency is a strong plus.
- Proactive, can‑do attitude with a passion for excellence.
- Ability to thrive in a remote, fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and collaborate across time zones.
- Regular weekend work required; preference for candidates able to include Saturdays and Sundays in their work week.
- Certification in AML or compliance (e.g., CAMS, ICA, ACAMS).
- Knowledge of international crypto regulations (e.g., FATF Travel Rule, EU MiCA, FinCEN).
- Experience with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic).
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting and audits.
