FEV México is seeking a Junior CAD Designer to join our engineering team in Puebla. You will develop 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for plastic and sheet metal components, under guidance from senior designers and coordinators for international automotive projects.

You will translate concepts into detailed designs, prepare documentation, and collaborate in reviews while pursuing skill development in CAD methodologies and quality standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics.
• 1 year CAD experience (academic or professional).
• Familiar with CATIA, Siemens NX and/or PTC Creo.
• Intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models of plastic and sheet metal components.
• Translate concepts into detailed technical designs incorporating feedback from engineering and customers.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and CAD files for projects.
• Collaborate with Senior Designers and Design Coordinators in meetings, reviews, and presentations.
• Follow up on project progress and requirements.
• Develop CAD design skills and knowledge of design methodologies and quality standards.

We are looking for a Junior CAD Designer to join our engineering team and support the design and development of components for projects within the automotive industry. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills in 2D and 3D CAD design, working under the guidance of experienced Designers and Design Coordinators while collaborating on projects for international customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models of plastic and sheet metal components.
• Translate engineering concepts into detailed technical designs, incorporating feedback from the engineering team and customers.
• Prepare and keep technical documentation and CAD files for projects.
• Collaborate with Senior Designers and Design Coordinators in meetings, design reviews, and customer presentations.
• Follow up on project progress and requirements.
• Continuously develop technical skills in CAD, design methodologies, and quality standards.
• Comply with the standards, processes, and quality requirements established by the company and the project.

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

Experience & Technical Knowledge

• At least 1 year of academic or professional experience using CAD software.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of CATIA, Siemens NX, and/or PTC Creo.
• Basic knowledge of modules such as:
• Part Design
• Generative Shape Design
• Drafting
• Basic knowledge of 3D modeling and technical drawing.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of technical standards and quality requirements, preferably ISO 9001.
• Intermediate English level.
