SAMY is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support Mexico and the US in processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations. You will ensure tax compliance and contribute to process improvements within a hybrid or on-site environment in Mexico City.

The role requires 1+ year in AP, proficiency with Excel/Sheets, and English writing ability to communicate with the Miami-based company. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.

Formación

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• At least 1 year of related experience in Accounts Payable
• Knowledge of Mexican tax requirements, especially withholdings for individuals
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; NetSuite is a plus
• English writing proficiency to communicate with US-based teams

Responsabilidades

• Process, review, and record supplier invoices for Mexico and the US.
• Manage payment layouts, bank reconciliations, and payment processes.
• Adhere to Mexican tax withholding requirements and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers, including influencers, for payment-related inquiries.
• Handle transactions in USD and MXN with accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Support automation and improvement of AP processes.

Role Mission

In this role, you will report to the Senior Finance Specialist and support the management of Accounts Payable processes for SAMY Mexico and the US, ensuring accurate invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and compliance with Mexican tax requirements. You will also contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Process, review, and record supplier invoices from Mexico and the US.

• Manage payment layouts, bank reconciliations, and payment processes.

• Review Mexican tax requirements, including withholdings for individuals.

• Manage communication and follow-up with suppliers, particularly influencers.

• Handle financial information in USD and MXN, identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.

• Support the automation and improvement of Accounts Payable processes, understanding the accounting logic behind transactions.

Skills & experience

• Degree or studies in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

• Experience in Accounts Payable, including invoices, payments, reconciliations, and supplier management.

• Knowledge of Mexican tax requirements, particularly withholdings for individuals.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, autonomy, responsibility, and a proactive attitude.

• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with NetSuite and banking platforms is a plus.

• English proficiency to communicate with the Miami-based company, at least in writing; spoken English is a plus.
