Job summary

WhatJobs Direct is seeking a highly organized Remote Flight Operations Manager to lead day-to-day flight operations from a virtual setting, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance for our global operations.

You will supervise dispatch, crew scheduling, and resource management, coordinate with air traffic control and maintenance, and drive process improvements while mentoring a remote team in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in flight operations management or a senior aviation role.
• Proven expertise in flight dispatch, crew scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation regs (FARs, EASA).
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and remote team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient with remote collaboration.
• Pilot license or dispatcher certification is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily flight operations including planning, dispatch, and monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Manage flight crew scheduling, duty time, and resources.
• Coordinate with air traffic control, maintenance, and stakeholders.
• Develop strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor weather and operations to maintain safety.
• Lead and mentor the flight ops team.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain records and documentation for flight operations.
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes.
