Job summary

Cummins in Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León is seeking an IT Sr. Solutions Engineer to design, implement and support information systems.

This on-site role partners with business functions to translate needs into actionable technology solutions and measurable value for the plant. You will lead agile initiatives, own technical designs, collaborate with IT and operations, and ensure solutions meet both business and technical requirements through validation and testing.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related subject.
• 5+ years of experience in digital manufacturing, IT, or related roles.
• 3+ years of experience working with Agile methodologies.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ignition platforms.
• Strong experience with SQL databases and Power BI.
• Advanced English proficiency (80%+).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes, projects, or services on time and within scope.
• Drive digital manufacturing initiatives using Agile methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, and coordination with cross-functional IT and plant teams.
• Own and continuously improve processes, systems, or metrics related to the department.
• Partner with stakeholders to define business success criteria for medium to large initiatives.
• Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Manage requirement changes, ensuring impacts are understood and approved by stakeholders.
• Validate solutions to ensure they meet business and technical needs.
• Review test plans and support testing activities to reduce risk and confirm expected results.
• Conduct problem analysis and coordinate resolution of moderate to complex issues.
• Build strong relationships with business, IT, and operations teams to deliver business value.

Job Summary

At least 5 years of experience.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 5+ years of experience in digital manufacturing, IT, or related roles.
• 3+ years of experience working with Agile methodologies.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ignition platforms.
• Strong experience with Databases (SQL) and Power BI.
• Advanced English proficiency (80%+).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of MES Apriso systems.
