Job summary

AstraZeneca plc in Mexico is seeking a results-driven Full-Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain end-to-end applications using Java, .NET, JavaScript, and cloud-native concepts. You will work in an Agile environment, delivering secure features and integrating APIs and data sources.

You will create Power BI dashboards, ensure compliance with security standards, and use AI coding assistants under governance to move faster with reliability, collaborating with global teams to impact

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, IT, or information systems with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Java and/or .NET/C# development and software design patterns.
• Knowledge of software testing, debugging, and maintenance.

Accountabilities:

• Full-Stack Development: Design, build, and maintain user-facing interfaces and server-side services using Java, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and relevant frameworks to deliver secure, high-quality features.
• SDLC Excellence: Support the full software development lifecycle—coding, testing, debugging, documentation, deployment, and maintenance to ensure reliable and predictable delivery.
• API and Integration: Design, develop, and integrate APIs, databases, and cloud-based solutions to connect systems and streamline data and process flows.
• Data Visualization: Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modelling and visualization, to turn data into actionable insight.
• Architecture and Compliance: Participate in technical design reviews and ensure alignment with architecture, security, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Agile Delivery: Work within Scrum and Agile teams to deliver increments, resolve technical issues, and continuously improve ways of working.
• AI-Enabled Engineering: Use approved AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, documentation, testing, and debugging with appropriate review and validation to uphold quality and security.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and adoption of best practices to increase speed, resilience, and scalability.
• Collaboration and Support: Partner with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues, support application maintenance, and raise service reliability.
• Operational Insight: Assist with management reporting and application or service performance information to support data-driven decisions.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a comparable discipline, with two or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Java and/or .NET/C# development and software design patterns.
• Knowledge of software testing phases, techniques, debugging, and maintenance.
• Experience working in Scrum teams and applying Agile methodologies.
• Experience with SQL, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and application integration.
• Experience with Power BI and data visualization.
• Familiarity with Docker, SaaS, CI/CD, or comparable deployment technologies.
• Experience using AI coding assistants responsibly, including reviewing AI-generated code for quality, security, and compliance.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Experience in an IT or information services environment.
• Understanding of service delivery KPIs, including SLA and Mean Time to Resolution.
• Experience working in a quality, compliance, or regulated environment.
