Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Protection and Control Engineer with an active Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead and execute advanced engineering tasks for high-voltage substation projects in the United States.

This position is based on-site in the United States.
We process the TN visa for qualified candidates.
Advanced English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
Willingness to relocate immediately or in the short term is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of protection and control systems for transmission and distribution substations.
- Prepare and review protection schemes, logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and relay settings.
- Approve and seal engineering deliverables under PE authority, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
- Coordinate closely with system protection, SCADA, communications, and substation design teams.
- Perform fault studies, coordination analysis, and relay setting calculations using industry-standard software.
- Develop technical specifications, bill of materials, and commissioning documentation.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Support clients and construction teams during testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Ensure all designs comply with NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and client-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred).
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state registration desirable).
- Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in protection and control engineering for utility or EPC substation projects.
- Deep understanding of protective relaying principles, control schemes, and communication protocols: IEC, DNP3, Modbus.
- Proficiency with electrical design and analysis tools such as SEL AcSELerator, ASPEN OneLiner, ETAP, or similar.
- Advanced English level, both written and spoken.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with North American utilities or large-scale EPC projects.
- Familiarity with NERC and FERC compliance standards.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in digital substations and automation systems.
