Our client is seeking a Principal Flight Engineer to join a remote-first aerospace team. The role focuses on design, development, and testing of advanced flight systems, requiring deep aeronautical knowledge and strong problem-solving and communication skills for global collaboration.

The candidate will lead flight control system development, contribute to safety and performance standards, and mentor junior engineers in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in flight systems engineering or related aviation role.
• Proven experience with flight control laws, simulation, and embedded systems development.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and implement complex flight control systems and algorithms.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of flight software and hardware components.
• Analyze flight data to identify areas for performance improvement and anomaly resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specs and test plans.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
