Qualifications

• Experiencia en métodos y técnicas de estimación de reservas (petróleos) y modelación de reservorios.
• Buena capacidad analítica y matemática para evaluar datos de producción y propiedades del fluido.
• Conocimiento de marcos regulatorios en la industria de hidrocarburos.

Responsibilities

• Estimación y clasificación de reservas de petróleo y gas usando metodologías estándar (SEC, PRMS).
• Desarrollar y mantener modelos de reservorios para evaluaciones de reservas.
• Analizar rendimiento de pozos, historia de producción e información geológica.
• Colaborar con geólogos y geofísicos para integrar datos de reservorios.
• Preparar informes técnicos detallados sobre estimaciones de reservas para partes interesadas.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimate and classify oil and gas reserves using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., SEC, PRMS)
• Develop and maintain reservoir models to support reserve evaluations
• Analyze well performance data, production history, and geological information
• Collaborate with geologists and geophysicists to integrate reservoir data
• Prepare detailed technical reports on reserve estimates for internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct economic evaluations of reserves and potential development projects
• Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry best practices for reserve reporting
• Provide technical support for exploration and development planning
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of reserve estimation processes and tools
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• A Master's degree is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in reservoir engineering with a focus on reserve estimation
• Proven expertise in applying various reserve estimation techniques and software
• Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid properties, and reservoir simulation
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing reserve reporting in the hidrocarburos industry
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish
• English proficiency is highly desirable
• Ability to work collaboratively in a technical team environment
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
• Experience with economic analysis and forecasting is advantageous
