Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Wireless Network Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize wireless networks from a remote location in Mexico. You will plan site surveys, configure access points and controllers, and ensure security and reliability of the wireless infrastructure.

The role requires deep knowledge of Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF principles, and experience with enterprise solutions (Cisco Meraki/Aruba/Ruckus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (EE/CS/Telecom).
• Minimum 5 years of wireless network engineering/design experience.
• Deep knowledge of Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and RF principles.
• Experience with enterprise wireless solutions from major vendors.
• Proficiency with wireless analysis/troubleshooting tools (Ekahau, Wi‑Fi analyzers).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage wireless networks (Wi-Fi, cellular, etc.) ensuring optimal coverage and performance.
• Conduct site surveys and analysis to plan effective wireless network deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in wireless network engineering and design.
• In-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax), protocols, and RF principles.
• Experience with enterprise-grade wireless solutions from vendors like Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus, or similar.
• Proficiency in using wireless network analysis and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Ekahau, Wi-Fi analyzers).
• Understanding of IP networking, including TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VLANs.
• Experience with cellular technologies (LTE, 5G) is a significant plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a remote setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
