Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Network and Security Support Engineer for a hybrid role in Torreón, Coahuila. The candidate will secure and optimize the client's network infrastructure, monitor threats, and support security-related issues in a telecommunications environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in CS/IT/Cybersecurity and 4+ years in network security, with hands-on firewall and VPN experience and a strong understanding of TCP/IP and routing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in network engineering with a strong focus on security.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network and security infrastructure for threats and vulnerabilities.
• Implement, configure, and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and remediation.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Provide technical support for network connectivity and security issues.
• Develop and maintain network security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies.
• Assist in designing and implementing secure network solutions.
• Generate security reports and provide recommendations.
