Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial or related field.
• 4+ years' experience in aviation QA or QC.
• Deep knowledge of AS9100 standards.
• Experience with inspection, NDT, and SPC.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the aviation sector, is actively recruiting for a detail-oriented Ingeniero de Control de Calidad Aeronáutica to join their facility in Morelia, Michoacán . This crucial role involves overseeing and implementing quality assurance processes throughout the aircraft manufacturing and maintenance lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace quality management systems, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all products and services meet stringent industry specifications and regulatory requirements, contributing directly to the integrity and reputation of our operations in Morelia .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control plans and procedures for aircraft manufacturing and maintenance activities.
• Conduct rigorous inspections of aircraft components, materials, and assemblies at various stages of production and repair.
• Verify compliance with technical specifications, engineering drawings, and relevant aviation standards (e.g., AS9100).
• Identify and document non-conformities, defects, and quality issues, and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and certificates of conformity.
• Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement improvements.
• Perform audits of internal processes and external suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Monitor key quality metrics and provide regular reports to management on quality performance.
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable national and international aviation regulations.
• Champion a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the aviation or aerospace industry.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, particularly AS9100 standards.
• Proven experience with inspection techniques, non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in quality control software and tools.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations and certification processes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
• Experience conducting internal and external audits is highly desirable.
