Job summary

Placements24 in Guadalajara is seeking an Ingeniero de Criptomonedas to develop and optimize high-frequency trading strategies for cryptocurrencies. You will apply data analysis, quantitative modeling, and low-latency systems to identify inefficiencies and execute profitable trades.

Collaborate with researchers and portfolio managers to backtest trading algorithms, assess risk, and scale infrastructure. Remote work from anywhere in Mexico is supported.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven 4+ years in quantitative trading, algorithmic development, or similar quantitative role, preferably crypto.
• Strong programming in Python, C++, with NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn.
• Deep understanding of crypto markets and market microstructure.
• Experience with backtesting platforms and statistical modeling.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and high-performance system design.
• Familiarity with FIX protocol and exchange APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and backtest high-frequency trading algorithms for cryptocurrency markets.
• Analyze market data to identify trading opportunities and inform strategy development.
• Build and maintain low-latency trading systems and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the research team to refine quantitative models and trading strategies.
• Monitor trading performance, identify and resolve issues, and optimize strategy execution.
• Manage and mitigate trading risks associated with cryptocurrency volatility.
• Stay updated on market trends, new digital assets, and regulatory changes.
• Ensure the reliability and efficiency of trading infrastructure.
• Conduct post-trade analysis and reporting.
