Corning Incorporated in Reynosa is seeking a Process Technician to perform a range of technical duties, collect data from manufacturing processes, and assist engineers in resolving issues and improving yields. The role may involve leading technician teams, evaluating equipment, and supporting safety and SOP adherence. An associate degree in a technical field or a strong Math/Science background is required, with potential for additional leadership opportunities.

• Associates Degree in technical field or strong Math/Science background.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints/drawings.
• Experience in technician/operator roles that lead to understanding of equipment/processes.

Responsabilidades

• Trains and coaches new engineering personnel on equipment and processes.
• Understands equipment and interprets data to solve problems.
• Works with teams on product innovation and cost reduction projects.
• Troubleshoots process and equipment issues.
• Collaborates with engineers to develop testing and integration of equipment.
• Leads equipment projects to reduce downtime, costs, and defects while improving yields.
• Ensures safety, health, and environmental regulations are followed by frontline staff.
• Contributes to project plans with resources and timelines.
• May participate in developing new processes or machines and documentation.

Role Purpose

Performs a variety of technical duties and activities including experimental procedures, collection of data from manufacturing process, data analysis and graphical analysis. May be involved with measurement labs and/or customer data to help engineers resolve customer complaints or improve manufacturing yields. May lead and direct P&M trades and/or contract trades personnel in equipment installation, repairs or upgrades

Key Responsibilities

• Trains and coaches new engineering personnel on equipment and process(es)

• Understands equipment used in key process(es) and interprets data from process(es) to solve problems

• Works with teams focused on product innovation, cost reduction projects, etc

• Troubleshoots process and equipment issues

• Works with engineers to develop and implement testing and integration of equipment

• Works on equipment projects to reduce costs, downtime and/or defects and increase yields

• Proactively guides front-line production workforce and technical teams to comply with safety, health, equipment standard operating procedures, and environmental regulations

• Provides inputs to project plans that identify resources and accurate timelines

• May be asked to participate in developing a new process or machine to improve the current process

• May be asked to write process, product or equipment documentation

Experiences/Education - Required

• Associates Degree in technical field or strong Math/Science background and experiences

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Reads blueprints and/or drawings

• Other technician and/or operator roles that lead to a better understanding of the equipment and processes

• B.S. in technical field
