Corning Incorporated in Reynosa, Mexico, is seeking a technically minded role to support front-line production and manufacturing engineers in an industrial setting. The position involves hands-on work with manufacturing equipment, identifying and supporting process improvements, and using judgment, experience, and initiative to resolve problems and make recommendations.

• Math/Science background required.
• Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Experience in roles that improve equipment and processes.

Responsabilidades

• Supports production line daily to help deliver yields, throughput and product quality.
• Trains and coaches front-line production employees on proper processes and procedures.
• Utilizes Lean and DMAIC tools to reduce downtime and improve costs and quality.
• Supports or leads optimization and standardization projects using DMAIC tools.
• Facilitates sharing of learnings across shifts and product lines.
• Works on equipment projects to reduce costs, downtime and defects and increase yields.
• Gives input into development and implementation of new equipment on the line.
• Guides frontline workers and technical teams to comply with safety, health and environmental regulations.
• Creates project plans with resources and timelines.
• May participate in developing a new process or machine to improve current processes.

Provides technical support to front-line workforce and manufacturing engineers making products in an industrial environment. Works hands-on with manufacturing equipment and activities. Identifies and supports process improvements. Uses judgment, experience and initiative to resolve problems and make recommendations. May help determine methods and procedures on new assignments

Key Responsibilities

• Supports production line on a daily basis to help deliver yields, throughput and product quality
• Trains and coaches front-line production employees (operators) on proper processes and procedures
• Utilizes KT and Lean tools to reduce downtime, increase yields, and improve costs and product quality
• Supports or leads optimization and standardization projects understanding DMAIC tools
• Facilitates the sharing of learnings across shifts and across product lines
• Works on equipment projects to reduce costs, downtime and/or defects and increase yields
• Gives input into development and implements new equipment on the production line
• Proactively guides front-line production employees and technical teams to comply with safety, health and environmental regulations
• Creates project plans that identify resources and accurate timeline
• May be asked to participate in developing a new process or machine to improve the current process
