BD is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering intern in Reynosa, Mexico, to assist and support continuous improvement initiatives across one or more manufacturing sections. You will work with engineers to analyze production processes, balance lines, and help implement efficiency gains.

The role involves design and installation activities, collaboration with external engineering firms, and documentation of calibration and validation steps. BD values initiative, learning, and teamwork.

Formación

• Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering background is required.
• Statistics and AutoCAD LT with capability for statistical analysis.
• Quick learning, initiative, and ability to deliver results.
• Proficiency with Windows-based systems and software.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to be multifunctional and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Develop strategies to improve manufacturing and reduce waste, including line balancing.
• Monitor manufacturing procedures and implement necessary changes.
• Install new equipment or technology to improve efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S of the area.
• Design, purchase and install equipment to enhance efficiency or product.
• Develop concepts and designs for innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Coordinate with external engineering firms to prepare equipment specifications.
• Analyze production and product performance to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Complete assigned project tasks and meet deadlines.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Support equipment calibrations by generating required documentation.
• Assist Engineers in collecting signatures on required documentation.
• Train personnel in pilot or validation runs.
• May be required to work any shift.

Job Description

This position manages manufacturing resources applied to objectives of one or more manufacturing sections or shift(s). Expectations are that this position will assist the Manufacturing Engineer or Engineering Manager to perform activities related to continuous improvement projects.

• Develop strategies to improve manufacturing and reduce waste, as well as perform line balancing.
• Monitor Manufacturing Procedures and make changes as required.
• Install new equipment or technology to improve efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5'S of the area.
• Carry out the design, purchase and installation of equipment that helps improve efficiency or the product.
• Develop concepts and designs to bring innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Work with External Engineering Companies preparing the specifications of the machinery for the purchase of the equipment.
• Assist in the analysis of production and product performance, identifying solutions that help improve it, achieving cost reduction goals.
• Responsible for completing specific tasks of the assigned project.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to meet project objectives within assigned deadlines.
• Support equipment calibrations by generating the required documentation.
• Assist Engineers in collecting signatures on required documentation.
• Train personnel in pilot or special validation runs.
• May be required to work any shift.

Requirement

• Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering. In previous internships or Manufacturing Engineering department
• Statistics. AutoCAD LT. Statistical analysis.
• Quick Learning, take initiatives and achieve results.
• Skills in using computers using a Windows environment.
• Excellent Communication and writing.
• Be multifunctional with knowledge of deadlines.
