Wabtec Corporation in Mexico seeks a Traffic Coordinator to collaborate with Materials, Customs, Finance and Brokers to ensure border materials move smoothly and avoid paperwork delays. You will support internal customers with status updates and provide essential information to the Customs and Finance teams, while tracking a tax and customs budget.

You will oversee import/export coordination, ensure proper paperwork, and drive timely movement across the border.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree; 3–5 years in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and process management experience.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
  • Self-starter with cross-functional relationship skills.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP.

Responsabilidades

  • Review import status and ensure timely movement of materials.
  • Send export process instructions and coordinate with brokers.
  • Manage broker inventory and materials in transit.
  • Provide missing documents or new import requirements.
  • Review items lacking Mexican HTS codes and address gaps.
  • Analyze broker charges and support compliance tracking.

Who will you be working with?

As a Traffic Coordinator, you will collaborate with the Materials team, Customs team, Finance team, and Brokers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all materials arriving at the borders are not delayed due to paperwork issues. Additionally, you will support internal customers by providing updates on the status of materials at the border and supplying necessary information to the Customs and Finance teams. You will also be responsible for creating a tax and customs budget and tracking all expenses to stay within this budget.

As a Traffic Coordinator, you will collaborate with the Materials team, Customs team, Finance team, and Brokers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all materials arriving at the borders are not delayed due to paperwork issues. How will you make a difference?

As a Traffic Coordinator, you will oversee the coordination of importing and exporting materials once they arrive at the border. By ensuring the correct paperwork is in place, you will facilitate the swift movement of materials across the border, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will manage all relevant information to minimize tax payments and ensure compliance working with the Customs Team.


What do we want to know about you?


  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in corporate business environment

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, Identify, and resolve complex issues

  • Strong accounting and system knowledge with process management experience

  • Advanced level of communication in English

  • Self starter, ability to leverage cross functional relationships to solve problems

  • Established analytical and project management ability with a simplification / automation / digitization mindset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Prior business and/or ORACLE ERP experience


What will your typical day look like?


  • Review status of import

  • Send the instructions for the new export process

  • Work the broker's inventory and comparing with the material intransit

  • Send all the missing documents or new requirements for the import

  • Review the missing parts with no Mexican HTS Code

  • Rewiew the charges from the Brokers' services

  • Attend the internal requirements (Tracking number status, documents for compliance, etc)
