An international automotive leader, located in Mexico, is seeking an HR Business Partner to plan and implement the People and Culture strategy for its manufacturing plants. This role involves leading labor relations, managing talent attraction, and overseeing personnel administration. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HR, knowledge of Mexican Labor laws, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. A degree in a relevant field is required to succeed in fostering a collaborative work culture.

Formación

  • Knowledge of Mexican Labor laws and government regulations.

Purpose of the job

Plan, define, develop and lead the implementation of the People and Culture strategy, HR Business plan and serve as an HR Business Partner for Santiago & Toluca Manufacturing Plants.

Ensure that the HR function in the Plant pro‑actively supports the business objectives of Talent Attraction, Personnel Administration, Labor Relations, and Learning and Development.

Academic Knowledge

Degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Psychology, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Law and / or any other related career.

Main Functions
  1. Strategy: Participate in the creation of the Daimler Truck Mexico Our People Team strategy with input from the Daimler Truck North America Our People Team business strategies. Include the specific needs of the manufacturing plant and collaborate with strategies to achieve the Plant's goals.
  2. Talent Attraction: Collaborate with the Center of Competence to set and ensure the implementation of the Talent Attraction and Retention Strategy, providing the right people in the right positions at the right time.
  3. Labor Relations: Develop productive working relationships between management and the labor union, lead yearly contract negotiations, and support managers and supervisors in their relations with unionized workers.
  4. Personnel Administration: Supervise the administration and care of workers from hiring through termination, provide employee services, maintain communication, and ensure compliance with STPS inspections.
  5. Learning and Development: Co‑create and execute initiatives and programs of learning and development for unionized and non‑unionized workers.
  6. Organizational Culture: Coordinate efforts to develop a collaborative, customer‑orientation, results‑oriented culture in the manufacturing plant.
  7. Engagement & Surveys: Foster a work environment that keeps employees engaged through customer orientation, results orientation and collaborative culture initiatives.
  8. Projects: Manage and lead HR projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and on‑budget implementation and cost/benefit streamlining.
