This role requires fluency in both Spanish and English, coupled with a strong background in HR management. The ideal candidate has extensive HR experience and excellent consulting skills.

What we need

HR Business Partner / Senior HR Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to leaders and managers within assigned business functions (e.g., Operations in Mexico and US). This role builds strong relationships with leaders and managers, provides expert coaching, manages employee relations, contributes to organizational design, and assists in the development and implementation of internal practices, processes, and policies.

The position partners across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leaders, managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle. The individual will work with Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and HR Systems & Operations to execute existing and new HR solutions that support the business’s growth plans.

Travel between Silao de la Victoria, Guanajuato and Huamantla, Tlaxcala, Mexico is required frequently. The individual must be fluent in both Spanish and English.

What you’ll do
  • Partner with leaders and managers to understand objectives and help them deploy actionable plans that drive results.
  • Lead organizational design initiatives to enable organizational performance, optimize structure, roles, and responsibilities for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate data insights into effective HR strategies and initiatives that influence decision‑making.
  • Provide ongoing performance‑management guidance (coach, counsel, develop, discipline) to managers at different organizational levels.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, objective investigations.
  • Work closely with managers and employees to navigate conflict, improve relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day‑to‑day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to ensure high employee data quality, analyze metrics, recognize trends and implement necessary interventions (e.g., programs and policies).
  • Partner with HR teams to support recruiting, onboarding, engagement, learning, performance, talent, and rewards processes and programs.
  • Lead and participate in projects, completing other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Mexican labor laws, workplace norms, and cultural practices to ensure locally compliant and culturally sensitive HR practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on effectively managing in a unionized environment, interpreting collective bargaining agreements and supporting grievance or negotiation processes as needed.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and ensure alignment with labor standards and union requirements unique to the region.
  • Build strong relationships with local union representatives and employee committees to foster constructive labor relations and proactively address concerns.
  • Support recruiting initiatives in the region, collaborating with local talent acquisition partners, attending hiring events and ensuring recruitment strategies align with local market practices.
  • Support workforce‑planning efforts specific to Mexico’s operations by advising on local talent availability, regulatory considerations and organizational structure.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to business leaders on managing diverse teams within regional expectations and cultural dynamics.
  • Ensure HR programs and policies are effectively communicated and executed in Spanish, in partnership with translation services where needed.
What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience, including at least 5 years in an HRBP role supporting multiple client groups.
  • High business consulting skills and HR acumen, including advanced problem‑solving, critical thinking and the initiative and ability to influence and partner across organizational levels to drive impact.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws; global experience a plus.
  • Extensive performance‑management and employee‑relations experience.
  • Demonstrated change‑management and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Workday and MS Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Teams skills.
  • Hybrid schedule.
  • Travel up to 60% required; must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • English and Spanish fluency.
